The Dog is Thrown Into the Street When the Effects Expire, Painfully Searching for Food in the Landfill, It is Exhausted, Full of Wounds and Needs Help
It was a heart-wrenching sight as we stumbled upon Peri, a Pointer, in a roadside dump. Exhausted, weak, covered in wounds, and bleeding all over her body, it was clear she had been discarded like trash after her “job” was done. We couldn’t bear to see her suffer and immediately took her to the clinic for treatment.
All tests and analyses were performed, and Peri’s treatment began. The doctor carefully bandaged her wounds with cantoron, taking great care not to hurt her further. Despite her fear and pain, Peri’s resilience shone through as she bravely endured the treatments.
After a week, we were able to take Peri home. I named her Peri, and we continued her care with regular cleaning and disinfection of her wounds using water with rivenol and applying cream to help her heal. I was overwhelmed with gratitude for the support of my friends who stood by us in this journey.
On day 18, we witnessed a milestone as Peri was able to go to the garden by herself to go to the bathroom. Her intelligence and friendliness were evident as she never made any noise even during treatments. Day 30 brought more progress as Peri was now able to walk, run, and play. She even made friends with another dog named Abisi and would often be seen playing with him.
Peri’s recovery was nothing short of miraculous, and we thanked God for her progress. Despite the abuse and neglect she had suffered, Peri’s spirit remained strong, and she had not lost her playful nature. She was a true fighter, and we were determined to find her a loving forever home where she would be cherished and cared for.
Peri’s story is a reminder of the resilience and strength of animals who have endured mistreatment. It is also a testament to the power of compassion and care in nursing them back to health. We are hopeful that Peri will soon find her perfect home where she will be loved and appreciated for the amazing dog that she is.
